Torix and Constantine
An Elven parliamentarian that TnC met in Quixote. Torix had to hide the fact that he was flipping out when he heard Jacques' last name. Most of the elves noticed it, so Torix said the name was familiar, but it was a story for another time. After explaining to him how and why they had gotten to Quixote, Torix whipped out the wanted poster of them from Eisenreich. Jacques figured that even if this mean that TnC were killers, they were effective fighters. After the introductions and descriptions of the progress of the war, Danesti asked TnC a very big favor. Since TnC had said that they had to fight against Hommeland because helping it would mean helping Violet, Danesti asked them to help Alfenne. The human military was intent on attacking Artagnan, and if they succeded, then the rest of Alfenne would easily fall. Basically, he asked TnC to help in the defense of Artagnan. They agreed, but TnC told them that they should watch their backs because Veritas and his sepratist buddies were planning something on Thursday, and it might involve them. After agreeing to a very risky plan to help the elves, they took Jacques out for a drink at the Hazy Barrel to explain why his name struck the brothers. After explaining that their father might have had a child with one Tara Danesti, they asked Jacques if the name was familiar. Tara turned out to be his cousin. Unfortunately she had died a few years back, so TnC would not be able to get a first hand account. He said there was something else, something he didn't want to say in the bar. Torix suggested they go for a stroll. When they exited the bar, there were several thugs led by Jean Veritas who wanted to "see" Mr. Danesti. TnC stood their ground and a crowd started to gather. He went back into the bar to keep out of the fray. TnC took him back to the ship where he would be safer. Danesti went with the crew to see TnC in their gladiatorial fight against snakes. He stayed with the rest of the crew to watch another match, involving Marco Versailles. On Thursday morning, TnC took him back to the Parliamentarian's bar so they could keep an eye on everyone. When Veritas showed up, Jacques and the other Parliamentarian's fled out through the window. While TnC were fighting Versailles outside of the establishment, Veritas' cronies had captured the Parliamentarians, and got away because TnC were caught off guard by Versailles' tactics. When TnC escaped from the burning house, they were able to save Jacques Danesti and Anton El Cid. They told them to stay at the ship becuase it would be safer than walking around with Veritas still on the loose.
